Key changes and benefits
Accreditation
Customer:
- Customers with existing Accreditations (but yet to have declared legal representative for new accreditations), will be able to undertake and manage Accreditation activities such as ‘Manage’, ‘Maintain’ or request ‘labels’ in the Portal. This benefits customers (Administrators) by having an efficient continuity of business for existing accreditations.
- For customers with multiple legal entities (who may not be aware), when submitting New Establish Accreditation application, you'll be prompted about existing accreditations; in turn directing the customer to the associated legal entity. The benefit for the customer in these scenarios will reduce time spent in potential duplication in creation of new accounts, and manage refunds more accurately.
Vehicle Standards
Customer:
- Applications for an amendment to an issued IPS can now be completed by customers via the Portal in a self-serve fashion. Where a customer has an existing application they can now apply for an IPS amendment directly without the need to contact the regulator via phone or email. This self-service functionality to lodge an IPS amendment saves the customer additional time by removing the need to contact the NHVR to commence an IPS amendment application.
- When a customer is submitting an amend Exemption permit application, the additional comment field is now mandatory. However, an attachment is no longer mandatory for an amend Exemption permit application. For the customer, the purpose of the additional comment field is to provide details of the amendment(s) that have been made to assist the regulator's assessment of customers' applications. The benefit of this change is to streamline the application process saving time for both the regulator and customer; and potentially removes the need for contacting a customer to seek additional information.
- The Extreme Axle Distance (EAD) field in a customer application will now auto-populate (based on inputs for axle spacing's already entered by the customer in the application). This change will support the customer application process benefiting the customer by removing a step in the process and improving accuracy with less data entry through no longer manually entering the EAD field details.
