SPV (South Australia) - What is a Certificate of Approval for Road Travel?

Answer:

Eligible SPVs may operate under the National SPV Notice in South Australia. If operating under the National SPV Notice, a permit is not required for a SPV complying with the relevant requirements of the Notice and travelling on an approved route. Some vehicle and route conditions are specific to each state. These conditions are set out in state schedules which are part of the National SPV notice. For instance, a ‘Certificate of Approval for Road Travel’ issued by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure must be carried on the vehicle when operating under this notice and be produced when requested by an Authorised Officer or a Police Officer.

NOTE: The Certificate of Approval for Road Travel should then be uploaded to the NHVR Portal as an attachment with your permit application.
