Why can't I move the waypoint past the end of a road or area?

Answer:

The Portal utilities three data sets, these include government GIS data from the Public Sector Mapping Agency, Google Maps (including Street View) and the commercial dataset, NokiaHERE. These are updated periodically, which means that some road segments may not be available in the data sets sitting behind Route Planner, even though they are visible on the map.

As a workaround:

1. Move the waypoint to the closest end point on the road.

2. Use the drawing tool to mark the missing road segment.

3. Add a note to the Route stating that "Route Planner is not allowing the waypoint to be placed at the end of the road or area. See drawn road segment."
