Modification application - VS Customer

To use the NHVR Portal the user must:

  • have a production Portal account;
  • have the required Permission level to submit application; and
  • be logged in to Portal.



  1. Navigate to Vehicle Standards


  2. Select Modifying a heavy vehicle





    If there are no valid permits to renew, amend or cancel, an error message will display.

  3. Add an Application nickname as a reference to make it easier to find the application in the future.
  4. Click Start.

  5. Follow the workflow steps to complete the application.

    If there is any information missing as you progress through the workflow, it will be highlighted in red. You will not be able to submit your application until this is correctly completed.

  6. Check the Confirmation page details, complete the declarations and submit the application.
