Exemption Permit Renewal application - VS Customer


To use the NHVR Portal the user must:

  • have a production Portal account;
  • have the required Permission level to submit application; and
  • be logged in to Portal.


There are two ways to renew your exemption permit

 Option 1 - Using the Exemption Permit tile
  1. Navigate to Vehicle Standards
    |

  2. Select Exemption Permit

  3. Select required action.


    New Exemption Permit application

  4. Select New application.

  5. Add an Application nickname as a reference to make it easier to find the application in the future.

  6. Follow the workflow steps to complete the application.

    If there is any information missing as you progress through the workflow, it will be highlighted in red. You will not be able to submit your application until this is correctly completed.

    Exemption Permit - Renew, Amend and Cancel

  7. Select an available permit from the drop down list which displays when you click in the field.

  8. Add an Application nickname as a reference to make it easier to find the application in the future.

  9. Click Start.
  10. Follow the workflow steps to complete the application.
  11. Check the Confirmation page details, complete the declarations and submit the application.

    If there are no valid permits to renew, amend or cancel, an error message will display.

 Option 2 - Via the approvals list
  1. Navigate to Vehicle Standards
    |

  2. Select the Approvals tab, which will display all permits approved, expiry dates and provide a link to the issued document.

  3. Select the Exemption Permit for renewal using the checkbox. When checked, the Actions button will appear.



  4. Under Actions, select Apply for renewal.


  5. Add an Application nickname as a reference to make it easier to find the application in the future.

  6. Click Start.
  7. Follow the workflow steps to complete the application.
  8. Check the Confirmation page details, complete the declarations and submit the application.
