Reviewing and/or approving an alternative route proposed by NHVR.

Step-by-step guide

  1. To navigate from the email sent from NHVR, copy and paste the provided link in to your web browser to navigate to your case in the NHVR Portal.

    To navigate from within the Portal, in Case Tracker find your case by the green status label of ‘Customer Info Req’ and open by selecting the view icon .  1 .


  2. Click on the 'ROUTE' tab located under the case title .

  3. In the 'PLANNER' tab, under 'Route history' check the description of the route to ensure that it is showing as {insert route reference and version number}  .

  4. Check the route to ensure it is fit for purpose.

    As a customer you can create Alternate Routes but once the permit application is submitted, only the Regulator can change the ‘Current active route’ on the permit application.


  5. To easily see the changes between the current and alternative, under the 'OPTIONS' tab locate the up/down arrows next to Route legend

  6. Use these to toggle between viewing the current route and alternative route. The current route will appear blue, so you can easily identify the proposed route changes

  7. Provide endorsement for the route by replying to the email from NHVR requesting you review the alternative route.
