The NTC is asking heavy vehicle owners to complete a survey on the requirements and use of escape respirators in the Australian Dangerous Goods Code 7.7 (the code).
Currently, an air supplied short term breathing apparatus suitable for escape purposes must be readily available in the cabin of road vehicles transporting placard loads of dangerous goods containing any:
· division 2.3 (toxic gases)
· division 6.1 (toxic substances)
· class 8 (corrosives).
The data gathered will help inform the NTC’s comprehensive review of the code.
Information gathered through this survey will be aggregated and no personal information will be shared.
You can complete the survey here: https://bit.ly/35DYgF0
Thanks in advance for your help!
