Review Cases/ Provide Consent

High level overview of the Road Manager decision process

The Road Manager Portal offers a broad range of functionality and tools to support Road Managers in their role in reviewing permit applications and providing consent.

Below is a high level overview of the process as undertaken in the NHVR portal.

  1. From the Home screen, click on a Permit Case No to open the case.
  2. From the case view you will be able to see the following tabs:
    • Case Details
    • Case Management
    • Route Management
    • Decisions
    • Timelines
  3. Select the CASE MANAGEMENT tab.
  4. Click the Start Assessment button.
  5. You will be prompted to add a work note.
  6. Select the ROUTE MANAGEMENT tab to review the proposed route.
  7. Select the DECISIONS tab to:
    • Approve with No Conditions
    • Approve with Conditions - select from various condition sets, templates or add your own
    • Refuse
    • Case Status will change accordingly
  8. To propose an alternate route:
    • Use the ROUTE MANAGEMENT tab to map an alternate route. Click Save Alt.
    • Select the CASE MANAGEMENT tab, then REQUESTS tab.
    • Click Information Request button.
    • Select the Alternative Route Proposal template.
    • Click the Route ID box to display the Alternate Route History, select your saved route.
    • Attach any reference files.
    • Submit
    • Case Status will change
  9. To request an extension of time:
    • Use the CASE MANAGEMENT tab, then REQUESTS tab.
    • Click Request an Extension of Time.
    • Choose date.
    • Select template, eg. Road Manager assessment required.
    • Submit
    • Case Status will change
  10. To request extra information from the customer:
    • Select the CASE MANAGEMENT tab, then REQUESTS tab.
    • Click Information Request button.
    • Select from a range of templates.
    • Attach any reference files.
    • Submit
    • Case Status will change
