To use the NHVR Portal the user must:

  • have a production Portal account;
  • have the required Permission level to submit application; and
  • be logged in to Portal.



  1. Navigate to Vehicle Standards

  2. Select type of application to be completed.

    NoteNote: This instruction will use IPS as an example however the process is similar for Exemption and Modification applications.

  3. Select required action

    Start an application:

  4. Enter a nickname for the application if required.
  5. Select Start.
  6. Application is created and saved in Draft mode. The application can now be found in the Application list.

  7. Select New application.

  8. Add an Application nickname as a reference to make it easier to find the application in the future.

  9. Follow the workflow steps to complete the application.

    Warning

    If there is any information missing as you progress through the workflow, it will be highlighted in red. You will not be able to submit your application until this is correctly completed.

    Exemption Permit - Renew, Amend and Cancel

  10. Select an available permit from the drop down list which displays when you click in the field.

  11. Add an Application nickname as a reference to make it easier to find the application in the future.

  12. Click Start.
  13. Follow the workflow steps to complete the application.
  14. Check the Confirmation page details, complete the declarations and submit the application.


    Warning

    If there are no valid permits to renew, amend or cancel, an error message will display.
