The renewed outbreak of coronavirus in Victoria has prompted significant changes to border requirements across Australia. The NHVR are working hard to collate and provide the most accurate, timely information and will endeavour to keep you informed as things evolve. Tuesday 14 July update

The Queensland Government has announced that from midday today the local government areas of Liverpool and Campbelltown in NSW are declared coronavirus hotspots and travel from these areas is significantly restricted. All of Victoria is also a declared hotspot.

All freight drivers are still able to travel into Queensland but are required to have a Queensland border pass that must be renewed every seven days. 

All drivers must adhere to additional health regulations:

  • Self-isolate in truck or accommodation when not working
  • Keep records of close contacts for 14 days
  • Agree to be tested if symptoms develop

Monday 13 July update

Effective immediately the Northern Territory has changed their travel restrictions to stop all travel from declared coronavirus hotspots. All of Victoria is currently a declared hotspot.
